About Us

The Salmon Run First Nations Coalition is a group of Indigenous communities in British ColumbiaCanada, dedicated to helping their member communities generate own source revenues from investments in fisheries. Our coalition recognizes the importance of salmon as a source of food, wealth, and trade for Indigenous peoples on the coast and far into the interior. We work to protect our aboriginal rights and the sustainability of our fisheries while promoting economic benefits for our communities. Our coalition is committed to implementing our constitutionally protected, Supreme Court affirmed treaty rights and working with the government to ensure the success of our initiatives.
